Client Directed Home Care

At All About Care, our mission is to support individuals and families in providing exceptional home care and companionship for adults. We are thrilled to introduce a new initiative that allows you to navigate and manage your own care.

Client-Directed Home Care

Are you currently receiving publicly funded home care services through Alberta Health Services (AHS)? Have you encountered issues with continuity, scheduling, or other aspects of your care? Perhaps you’re involved with Self-Managed Care (SMC), or waiting for your SMC assessment? Are you considering hiring your own private home care provider, but are concerned about the out-of-pocket cost? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we have good news for you.

All About Care is an approved vendor for the AHS initiative known as ‘Client Directed Home Care Invoicing.’ This allows us to bill directly on your behalf, alleviating you of the administrative burden.

The Client Directed Home Care Invoicing Program (CDHC) is a fresh initiative that started in Calgary Zone in January 2023. AHS offers this option to assist individuals in need of personal care, respite, and homemaking. The All About Care team is ready to work with you to create a personalized care plan using the approved Service Care Plan provided by your Alberta Health Services Home Care Case Manager. The CDHC program enables us to bill Alberta Blue Cross directly for the care we provide.

If you’ve been assessed and approved for public home care services or self-managed care, and you’re interested in switching to Client-Directed Home Care, please contact us for guidance on how to get started! Our team is ready to assist you at (403) 817-6094.

Why entrust your loved one to All About Care?

We’ve been helping Calgary residents get such heartfelt assistance since 1997. That makes us one of the city’s most established family-run care providers.

We take great pride in going beyond just caregiving:

  • Dedicated to improving the quality of life of those we care for in the Calgary area: enriching the lives, happiness and peace of mind of the people we look after and the families who love them.
  • Hand-picked caregivers and nurses with the emotional intelligence to build meaningful relationships – all carefully vetted not just with police clearance and qualifications checks, but with personality screening.
  • All caregivers receive ongoing training in the values that we live – and they are mentored by our leadership.
  • We’re trusted by the Calgary Court System’s Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee – as a valuable part of the care team with their clients.

Reduced Administrative Responsibilities

Reduced Administrative Responsibilities

All About Seniors works to find the perfect caregiver match for YOU and handles the administrative responsibilities, so you don’t have to.

Choice of Provider<

Choice of Provider

You’re no longer forced to be with a specific homecare provider based in your geographic area. With CDHC funding, you are free to choose your own provider. We are an approved provider on the CDHC website through Alberta Blue Cross.

Our Adult Home Assistance Services

  • One-on-one assistance

Despite best intentions, many assisted living facility staff do not have the time or resources required to provide individual attention to each resident.

We are 100 percent focused on providing one-on-one attention to ensure that you and your loved ones are comfortable and confident with the care we provide.

  • Reporting after each visit

By developing authentic relationships with those we care for, we’re able to gain a deeper understanding of their needs.

This helps us prepare tailored reports after each visit, summarizing our interactions with your loved one and bringing peace of mind and reassurance.

  • Outings and companionship

Everyone requires companionship for general wellbeing and, when being cared for at home, the need becomes even greater.

Our caregivers are trained to provide this and, wherever possible, they will arrange outings that help to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit.

Glowing Client Reviews

“Several years ago I spoke with Lynn because I needed someone to help my Mom with grocery shopping and other errands while I was travelling.

Things worked out so well and mom enjoyed her visits so much that we changed to weekly service year round. We both appreciate the professionalism and kindness that Lynn and her staff display.

Mom’s visits with Joanne are a highlight of her day. All About Care has been extremely flexible with us as mom ages and her needs have increased.

It is wonderful to have a weekly update when I cannot be there to keep an eye on her myself. I would not hesitate to recommend this outstanding group of people to anyone.”

“Finding All About Care has been absolutely life-changing for my Grandmother and myself.

Having lost my mom to cancer I found it really overwhelming to make sure my 96-year-old grandma was getting enough companionship and her care was not falling through the cracks.

We hired All About Care for 2 visits a week and the difference it has made in my grandma’s happiness is incredible, we love it so much we have gone up to 5 visits a week! She looks forward to the visits so much and they bring so much light into her days!!

It helps me sleep better at night knowing she has someone checking in on her and the daily update emails have been so helpful for me to keep a pulse on what is going on when I am unable to visit for extended periods.”
