"When Dad arrived at the facility…”

When Dad arrived at the facility, I became his Guardian and Trustee. I realized that it was going to be very difficult for myself and my family to visit Dad on a regular basis. I decided that it would be great to have someone visit Dad that he would recognize and give him some comfort. It was important for me to spend every dollar that Dad took in on a monthly basis to care for him. What I didn’t expect was the bond that would formed between the All About Care companion and Dad. He wasn’t very excited to see me, but when she arrived he would light up. You have no idea what a relief it was to know that he was in good hands when she would visit. Our family and friends were so glad that your companion was able to visit him in the morning because we knew that he wasn’t alone during the time where we were unable to be there. Our Dad may not be capable of expressing himself like he used to, but I know he always enjoys her kind and caring nature.

Best of all, Dad really looks forward to their weekly visits for a game of cards, going out for coffee and socializing. As two people who work full time and share responsibility for Dad’s care, their assistance has become invaluable to us.

We may have been able to find another caregiver, but the love and compassion that All About Care brought is part of their DNA. That care and companionship kept her alive and able to function in her own home with a level of dignity that she would not have had anywhere else. We trusted, respected and listened to the advice from Lynn and Keith when it came to her care since we knew they always had her best interests at heart. From making sure she took her medication, to taking her to all of her appointments and making sure she ate, the family knew that she would not have lived as long or as comfortably if not for the care and love of the team at All About Care. When she passed away, they were part of the family that mourned with us. This is not just a job for them. And at the end of the day, that kind of care is what we wanted and received for our mother.
